Alexander City Recycling Facility at Public Works

The Alexander City Recycling Facility at Public Works is located at the corner of Joseph Street and 1st Way. The facility is open Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. until  2:00 p.m.  Mobile trailer is located at the new center 24/7 for after hours drop off.  

We now accept a wide variety of electronic items for recycling. Please note that some items may be subject to a disposal fee. Exact change is required for fee-based items. 

What do we recycle?

• tin cans (rinsed and labels removed)
• electronics 

Please do not dump household garbage at the recycling facility! 

Items with a Disposal Fee - Must bring exact change for fees.

• Flat Panel Televisions (LCD / LED / Plasma) – Flat Fee: $10.00*

• Microwaves – Flat Fee: $5.00*
