ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS
PROJECT: SUBSTATION TESTING AND MAINTENANCE
CITY OF ALEXANDER CITY
LIGHT DEPARTMENT
ALEXANDER CITY, ALABAMA
Separate sealed bids for Furnishing and Installing Materials for Substation Testing and Maintenance (BID NO. 26-08) will be received at City Hall, 281 James D. Nabors Dr., Alexander City, AL 35010, on or before May 5, 2026 at 2:00 P.M., at which time and place they will be opened and read aloud.
The project will consist of Material, Equipment, and Labor for Substation Testing and Maintenance, as outlined in attached Specifications
Specifications and Contract Documents may be examined at the office of the Owner or at the office of the Engineer. Copies may be obtained from Stewart Engineering, Inc., Electrical Consultants, P. O. Box 2233, Anniston, AL 36202, upon request of approved Bidder.
The Owner reserves the right to waive any informalities or to reject any or all bids.
No taxes of any kind are to be included in the bid prices unless requested. The City of Alexander City will furnish tax exemption certificates when necessary.
No bidder may withdraw his bid within 60 days after the actual date of the opening thereof.
Each bidder must be licensed as a contractor under the laws of the State of Alabama. The bidder’s General Contractor License Number and the Bid Number must be clearly stated on the outside of the sealed bid envelope. Bids received without the required information displayed on the exterior of the envelope may be deemed non-responsive. The successful bidder will also be required to advertise completion of the contract in accordance with Alabama State Law.
